Prepping with coupons
I was asked yet again today, "How do you get free or nearly free food with coupons. I use coupons to stockpile for a shtf scenario. I believe that with the economy the way it is going, food is going to be the key to surviving what is going on in our Country today. I collect coupons from newspapers or ebay. I know your thinking Ebay? Yes, Ebay. I can buy the main food items I use a lot cheaper than buying 10 Sunday papers. Plus, what in the world would I do with all that newspaper?Compost it is the answer. Now back to my story with Steve. Steve wanted to know what kind of food items can I stock pile for free with coupons. I told him I had 200 pounds of Mahatma rice in Mylar sealed bags stashed in five gallon buckets that didn't cost me a dime. I actually made .11 a bag for every bag I bought. Steve was amazed. I told him my grocery store doubles my .50 coupon to a 1.00 coupon and the rice is .89 a bag. I did the same for sugar, flour, laundry soap, dish soap, toothpaste, bathroom tissue, paper towels, pasta, and list just goes on. The golden rule is too buy what is on sale and have a coupon that can cut it down cheap or FREE! Now for me free is how I like to shop. If you are in my area or would like some help with prepping with coupons feel free to contact me.
